Thanks, Rick!
At one point during the studio upgrade, a laptop DAW was the only one running, and I installed Ozone there to see what it could do, but a mastering suite isn't really necessary on a DAW used for remote recording.
When the control room DAW came up last month, I installed Ozone and went looking for the procedure to unregister it in the laptop but no joy.
Yesterday I opened Ozone, knowing it would try to register, hoping for more information, but instead it registered quickly and successfully, prompting this thread.
I want to thank the software companies for their enlightened approach to licensing. I respect intellectual property rights, and reasonable security precautions they implement as they try to stay in business. I am highly appreciative that I am able to use my purchases the way I need to, when companies could have made things difficult and expensive.
So far, I have Sonar, Amplitube, T-Racks, Sampletank, the Real Guitar family, Melodyne Editor, and Ozone 5 instalked and registered in at least two instances each, and the process has been surprisingly painless. This keeps my focus on the music where it needs to be, and these company policies motivate me to continue supporting them with future purchases.
