    Thank you!  I was feeling annoyed that I hadn't received the recent email from Cakewalk for a $99 upgrade, but this is even better.

    This is even better.........I wonder if this JRR  $84.15 upgrade will also include the Sonar X3 Explained video like the Cakewalk email offer?

    It should...I didn't see any...."UPGRADES EXCLUDED" disclaimer...but what do I know?

    I bought the upgrade, and JRRShop emailed me a license code.  The code is 32 characters long, but it doesn't resemble a Cakewalk serial number, at least that I can tell.  When I try to register the code on the Cakewalk website, it says it's not a valid serial number.  I've emailed customer service at both Cakewalk and JRRShop, but I'm still waiting for an answer.

    Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing?

    FYI, I know it's old but if anyone needs/wants X1.  Check out Best Buy.  They have a sale on Cakewalk - SONAR X1 Production Suite Software for PC  for $219.99.  I think it is the boxed disk version.   That's best deal I have seen on that recently.  
     
    They also have Cakewalk - SONAR X1 Producer for $249.99. 
     
    This might be a cheaper way to get to X3 for someone new.

     In order to qualify for this deal one would need to have X2 Producer. 
     
    Has anyone seen a curent deal on X2 Producer?? 
     
    I have only been able to find full priced listings, at $499.

    Just wanted to say a big thank you to Larry for the heads up on this!!!
     
    You do a great job keeping us updated with all the latest deals.
     
    I had the email for cakewalk sale and was on the fence about jumping in but this deal gave the extra incentive and so now I am on X3.
