MIX DOWN LABELING

When mixing down ,is the a way to stop Sonar from adding the output extension onto the song name ?
  I use multiple outputs on my setup and when mixing down I choose the output
  but I always get the output added to what I type . 
  I don't think there is a work around but thought I would ask.
