ACT: M-Audio Axiom 25 MIDI Controller/Surface, I FINALLY Got It Working!!!

I like so many others in this community have, dare I say, a hatred of Cakewalk's ACT. I could never get it to work properly with the M-Audio Axiom 25 and gave up on ACT a LONG time ago.

However, with information posted by the community and a recent discovery I made of a Cakewalk data folder, I FINALLY got my ACT… together and working with the Axiom 25.

To the point, my problems stemmed from what appears to be ACT data file fragmentation: The XML files were in a word a mess.

My solution was to create a back up copy of the "%AppData%\Cakewalk\ACT Data" folder in Windows 7/8. I then deleted the files from the original path, launched Sonar X3, and commenced with configuring the Axiom 25 with ACT and several synths.

I'll post more detailed information as soon as possible. I'm basically starting from scratch.

In the meantime, I am impressed by the functionality exposed by ACT: IT WORKS!!!

My Axiom 25 is much more useful to me now. Can't wait to unbox my Akai MPK88 I ordered 2 years ago, never used it.
