Because of You (Revision)

I did some more work on the mix of this song based on some advice in the forum. I think it's better, except hi hat sounds too loud now... I would appreciate knowing if I am on the right track here.

And here is the previous mix for reference:

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen and offer opinions or advice.

    Well I liked it.
I could hear all the parts, all played and sung very well.
I thought it was going to be a U2 or Kelly Clarkson cover.
    Killer guitar. Really nice work.
If I had any suggestion it would be to work in more dynamics?
It's an unrelenting aural assault without any relief which can make one tune out due to lack of change?
Start quieter and build? that sort of thing?
There are a few spots you could stop dead for a few beats even.

M_Glenn_M - thanks for the listen and the compliments. Mostly thanks for the advice. Really helpful. About 20 or 30 years ago, I would have considered "aural assault" a great compliment. (I always enjoyed when the cops came to have me turn it down - though I never actually enjoyed turning it down). Now I see it as a remnant of musical immaturity (though part of me is still a metal head at heart). Though I probably won't apply your constructive criticism to this song (because I'm kinda sick of this sing for now), I'll definitely think about it for my next project.

Yeah I tend to do a wall of sound too but that's definitely not in favour so much now.
