Bug? - Delete Synth Option Screws Up All Other Synth Tracks

Hello Everyone,

Not sure if this should be reported as a bug in X3e, but let's say I have 10 tracks (all soft synths), then I delete 1 synth using the "Delete Synth" option (and to remove associated tracks)....

it removes the track, but screws up the routing of other tracks.  I now have MIDI tracks going to the wrong synth!  It changes the MIDI output on a few of my MIDI tracks.   Not sure how that can be, but it is happening :(

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

Thanks,
Adam

I have seen it happen. I just reroute the outs.

If you just delete the synth that a midi track out is pointing to then I believe Sonar does assign the next synth on the list as the out for that track - I assume the midi track has to have a specified out so it doesn't leave it with no assigned out at all, but I have never seen it change anything on a track that is not associated with the deleted synth. You haven't provided much information here, not even which Sonar version you are using, so trying to help you is a lot of guesswork, but if you are using X3 are you aware of the replace synth feature ? This swaps out the the synth and automatically changes the routing of the assigned midi tracks to the new synth.

What I always do when encountering an issue like that is try reproducing it using the default Normal project template.
