A friend of mine years ago had a cousin who was a bit of a speed freak. He'd have sessions that lasted for days. During one of his manic 3 day "sessions," he'd apparently disappeared into his garage for hours at a time, saying he was "working on something amazing." As a teaser, he told everyone it was some kind of epic DJ entertainment center which incorporated lasers, strobes, a huge sound system, turntables etc. Some kind of all-in-one console which would transform any party. So he'd go into the garage for a bit, do more speed, come out, lift some weights for a bit, do more speed, go back into the garage. And so it went on for 3 days and nights, until finally he announced that the gizmo was complete, that he was "coming down," would hit the hay for a few hours, and have everyone over for the grand unveiling once he'd woken up. So hours later everyone showed up and banged on the door to wake him up. Bleary eyed, he showed everyone into the garage and took the dust sheet off his creation. And apparently it was just some old hi-fi system onto which he'd taped a load of random junk. Everything had wires coming out of it that seemed to be connected randomly to other things with no logic behind it at all. Some of the wires weren't even connected to anything. Then he plugged it in, flipped a switch and.....nothing. Everyone went home.

Gas never releases its victims. I stopped buying every bit of cheap gear and now only buy every bit of expensive gear I can. My GAS has matured and grown, but I still have that monkey on my back. Latest GAS attack resulted in a 57 Fender lap steel. Blue chip GAS, ya , that's the ticket.

Hi,

I have, one of these days, a few dollars coming from an Estate sale in the family. If this happens, as it already has, but money coming from Europe is slower than a turtle in your backyard, I'm going to spend a few dollars.

First is to Craig, for $150 dollars for an hour or two to help me setup and learn a few things. If he doesn't want it, that's his problem.

Second choice is the same amount for Bapu, as I need help with Miroslav Philharmonic that he lists in his lists of stuff he has. I have not been able to get two different "voices" to work together in that program, or use "different" midi channels.

If both are not interested I will ask other friends here on this board. I'm getting enough money, that I'm actually thinking about sending a first class ticket to Bapu to spend a day up here being silly!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Gee Pedro, ol pal. I'm pretty sure you won't need to spend that kind of geetus for a "little help from your friends". I use Miroslav regularly. What exactly are you doing now that isn't working? PM me if ya like.

PS: even if I end up solving your problem you can still give Bapsi however much dough you want.
