Console Emulator VU Meters

Hi all, was wondering about the readings of the Console Emulator VU Meters... the following were my steps:
  1. Started a brand new project.
  2. Inserted just one (1) audio track - imported a stereo wave file (1kHz, -18dBFS)
  3. set the track's fader to 0 unity - track's meters read as -18.0 (all is good)
  4.  inserted ProChannel (2 effects) - EQ (default) set to bypass other is Console Emulator (trim and drive both at 0)
  5. Console Emulator VU meters reads as -18
Was wondering shouldn't the VU meters be pointing at 0? Do kindly advice... thank you.

If the audio in the track is at -18, then the console emulator meter will read -18 if the controls are zeroed out.

Yah that sounds right to me. The Console plug is +/-, so if you set it to +18 then your meters should read 0

Hi guys... thank you for your kind replies.

Actually i was looking at the VU Meters on the lines of traditional analogue VU Meters; as in -18dBFS = 0VU.

In this case, it seems that the VU Meters represent dBFS rather than VU; which is a little redundant because right beside it, on the faders, there is already a digital meter with the same readings.
