Give it Away - Jazz like

It started with 3 chords on an acoustic and developed from there. I have just not had the time to finish it right, but in spite of my haste, I think you'll get the concept (and hear where I pasted the end quick and dirty).

Please let me know what you think, thanks.

Sounding good so far. I'm a bass player and I hate to say this but maybe the bass is about 1db too loud?

    Others may disagree. We'll see.

Thanks, Ed. I need to add some lows and turn it down, yeah.

    Interesting balance.
    Great vox, nice singing
    Good club song.
Yes bass EQ tweaks, (Tube or Saturation for a bit of highs?) Rhythm guitar up a bit? Lead is just right.

Good song! Your voice sounds great too. The mix is out of balance. EQ the instruments and place your vocal and solo up front. You could widen the rhytyhm guitars for a fuller mix too. This is a happy and exciting song!

Good start.  Ed was right about the bass.

Oh, Bapu and I are both wiggling.  I agree that the bass could come down a bit.  I am a bass player too.  Well, it's my favorite inst to play.  If it was my tune I'd make the bass line a bit smoother with some walking to fill some spots.  I really like the song and think that with a little mix work it could be even better.  Vocals are cool.

I agree about the bass others mentioned but the song sounds fine, just to me needed a little more tweaking on the mix.

Nice song and vocal! I agree with others the bass is a little loud ,also agree that the mix is out of balance. Widen the guitars and bring the vocal more out front.

I'll add my agreement to the comments above about the bass.  The mix also needs a bit of touch-up  (e.g., it seems to balanced heavy to the centre and a bit to the right).  The way it is now all of the instrumentation competes with the vocals.  However, having said that I think this is a cool song which is performed well and it won't take but a few tweaks to make it even better.

Big thanks to everybody. There seems to be a majority consensus on the bass, eq and I'll balance the spread.
I am still on X2 (XP) and the crashes are driving me nuts. Hopefully I can find time to finish it up.

    Thanks again for your comments.
