[Solved] Sonar X2 trying to type into VST windows but keystrokes intercepted by Sonar

Hi all,
I noticed this again last night and I'm not sure if it's an intermittent issue or only occurs when there is a conflict with key bindings.  This was occurring with FM8 but I've noticed similar behavior in Rapture and Z3ta+.  Here is what happens.

When I click in a text box in FM8 to type in a patch name for example, what I type is intercepted by Sonar even though FM8 has focus.  Trying to type a "d" into the FM8 text box results in Sonar closing its multiview rather than entering a d into FM8's text field.  I had noticed this type of behavior occasionally before, but not often enough to know if it always occurs or is intermittent (I don't need to type into VST windows that often).

Does anyone know if this is the normal Sonar behavior?
thanks,
Dan

Sure - there is a little icon of a computer keyboard in the UI for the plugin.  Click on that, and it will turn over all keystrokes made while the plugin is in focus to the plugin.

So, open FM8 UI, click on the little keyboard icon, save your preset in FM8, type away.

    I hope that helps,

Wahoo!  Can you please edit the first post of the thread to add something like 'Solved'?  I think there might be some other thing you could click on instead - haven't paid attention, but think the newer forum software capabilities may include something like that.

    In any case, again, WAHOO!
