I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

:-) Thanks for watching, Mike. I've been loving using the latest version. It's really getting to be awesome.

Now we just need TotalMix for Linux (and wow how cool would it be to have DigiCheck too!!).

    You Linux guys....

Oddly I'm looking at hanging up my spurs here at the end of the year, been thinking about open source development. We'll see...

    Best regards,

Sounds awesome! Have you tried writing a vst?

I've started on an idea...but I have a long way to go to be conversant with the API. That's okay though I'll have more time coming up in 2015.

I've also been working on root object extensions for Max/MSP...

BTW: I meant to ask: What are you using for your videos? Camtasia?

For the videos I'm using Microsoft Expression. It came free with a Microsoft Developers Network Subscription (MSDN) that I get with my job.

I think my video card came with a tool too. You might check that out. It's not a very tricky thing to record a screen capture, especially if you are using Sonar to catch the Audio.

Here is a site I found that talks about other choices...

Wow MS Expression, who'd a thought that? I've got an MSDN subscription also (at work), which version are you using?

Pretty sure I'm using 2010 Pro but I have access to 2013 Team Server if I want it...I'm trying to stay equal with one of the other devs and he couldn't get a stable setup with 2013 so, 2010 is where I be.

So, when you talk about 2013 and stuff, I think you're talking about Visual Studio, right? I've got that installed on my work PC now, along with 2010 which is my main IDE.

I just went to the Subscriber Downloads for MSDN and I found I've used two product keys for this...
Expression Studio 4 Premium (x86) - DVD (English)

So I think that's what I've got installed.

I use Microsoft Azure for Blob Storage. That's where I upload this picture to. It's free with the subscription. I've never had a charge and I've moved more than 50 GB over the web in a month. I use Azure Storage Explorer to manage my blobs.

I attended a cool hands on user group for Angular the other day. Are you a JS man?

The only prob I faced after installing VS 2013 (which had to be x86 btw), was that it replaced my machine.config, so back those up or get copies from a peer (what I did). Also, it won't let you use web.configs in IIS with the same node twice in the config anymore, which is fine, but it's a change at the IIS level.

Now, when I do Web Dev, I have to comment out an item from the configs before working and remember not to check it in that way.

Yep I'm referring to VS, 2010 is my primary tool also along with SQL Server Management Studio.

I've done some JS development, mostly for Android though. My primary language(s) are C# and SQL and mostly for Windows desktop applications. I also do quite a bit of C++ at home.

There are some really nice features in VS 2013 but it seems to be problematic...I'd like to use it but for now I just stick to my trusty VS 2010 and try and get my job done. :-)

It's stuff like that that drives me batty! But it could be a lot worse. Thanks for the reference to MS Expression I'm going to check that out in the not too far distant future.

    Take care and thanks again,
