Upgraded MC6T to Sonar X3! First impressions (and concerns)

SEE LAST POST.

I have Music Creator 6 Touch, and I would like to upgrade to Sonar X3 Studio via the Cakewalk website. I have chosen the download version instead of retail disc. In the corner of the product's site is this window:

I'm confused. I'm a registered customer who's cross-upgrading from MC6, not an earlier Sonar.

I E-mailed Cakewalk yesterday, but it's a holiday weekend, so I won't hear back until Monday. Please -- anyone tell me -- am I entitled to that $99 option? That's what I want. I just want to make sure I'm choosing the right one, considering the upgrade is a standalone product anyway.

Any clarification is appreciated. Thanks!

It looks pretty clear to me on the face of it. You can click the radio button to get the 99.00 upgrade price, only if you are a registered owner of a previous version of Sonar. Sonar is the name of a series of applications and does not include any product that was not named Sonar. So Sonar X 1, X2 or X3 in Studio or Producer versions for example would all be Sonar applications and entitle you to the 99.00 price. Music Creator is not a Sonar version it is an unrelated application, so you might qualify for the 149.00 price as a registered owner of that product, but not the 99.00 price.

The upgrade price from Music Creator 6 to SONAR X3 Studio is $149.

We are doing a special now where Music Creator 6 customers can upgrade to SONAR 3 (Base version) for $29 if you want to try that out first.

Why don't you do this ... (if the mucking around is worth it(?)).

    Cross/Upgrade to Sonar X3 (Standard) for $29.
Wait the day(approx) for registration to process to your Cakewalk account.
Upgrade to Sonar X3 Studio for $99 (including ProChannel promo ($49 value)).
    =$128

Thanks for the suggestion, ShellstaX...I initially planned on doing that. But after carefully evaluating the Sonar comparisons, I have decided that the base Sonar X3 is right product for me, per Andrew's mention.

Please see the thread "Sonar X3: First impressions (and concerns)".

    For now

Well it's often/generally at $99 for upgrade to Studio when the time is right. Promotions may differ though.
