How to make Markers View sync with Time Ruler like the Control Bar Markers Module does?

Is there a way to make Markers View sync with Time Ruler like the way the Control Bar Markers Module does?

I use a lot of Markers and use the Marker View often but it doesn't highlight or select what Marker I'm at like the Control Bar Markers Module does.

When I click on the Time Ruler, the Control Bar Markers Module shows what Marker I'm at but the Marker View doesn't move to the Marker, it just stays at the last Marker I manually selected in the Marker view.

Same thing happens if I select a Marker from the Control Bar Markers Module pull down menu, the Now Time Marker moves to the correct Marker but the Marker isn't highlighted or Selected in the Marker View.

If I select a Marker in the Marker View, the Now Time Marker goes to the correct Marker and the Control Bar Markers Module shows the correct Marker.

Thanks,
Lou

I dont know what you talking about when you refer to Control Bar markers. I right click on Timeline and insert marker. It lets me name it, and then I open Markers window and it let me click on the marker and it moves there.

If you have the Markers Module in your Control Bar and Select any time on the Time Ruler, the Markers Module will show you which Marker you are at but the Markers View won't.

I use Markers to map out the song structure, Examples:
    V1-1 = 1st Verse Bar 1
    PrC2-3 = 2nd Pre Chorus Bar 3
    I1-4 = 1st Intro Bar 4
    C4-7 = 4th Chorus Bar 7
    PoC5-9 = 5th Post Chorus Bar 9
    B1-6 = 1st Bridge Bar 6

So If I click on the Time Ruler or stop playback bc I hear something that needs to be changed, the Markers Module lets me know what part in the song I'm at but the Markers View doesn't. It would be more productive for me to use the Markers View bc it's scrollable with my mouse and touchscreen and easier to select Markers from than the Markers Module bc it's not scrollable with my mouse or touchscreen.

Also, If I'm working from my laptop, I can't fit too many things on the Control Bar bc it doesn't wrap view and each Module isn't undockable like they used to be in older versions of Cakewalk ProAudio and SONAR.

Here's an example of my current workflow:
    • I'm in Track View
    • I hear a mistake and stop playback
    • I look at the Markers Module to see where I'm at in the song, lets say C3-2
    • I hit Alt+Shift+4 to bring up the Markers View or I hit D if it's already in the MultiDock
    • I go to the Markers View, select C1-2 and compare, select C2-2 and compare, then go back to C3-2 and make my edits

    Thanks,
    Lou
