Pan not working?

Don't understand it - I believe it used to work.  No matter how I set the pan - the sound still comes out of both speakers (100% left comes out of both speakers, 100% right comes out of both speakers).  Have I possibly hit some button that would have disabled pan control?  (audio tracks - not midi)
Thanks all

I would make sure you don't have automation overriding your pan.  Something could have been set in offset mode by accident (push the "o" key to toggle between them).  If not check your routing and outputs.

Make sure your track interleave is set to mono. How many waveforms are visible in your track? If you see 2 then you've recorded either a stereo track or the same information to both sides (dual mono).
Use bounce to tracks to force it to a single, mono track.

I do have a single mono track.  I'll have to go back and see if automation is the culprit.  I did use automation on some tracks in the project - but I don't think I used it on these particular tracks that I am having issues with.  I'll go check though just to be sure

Daniel Rumley - you suggest I check the inputs.  I don't understand how the inputs can effect this.  I don't have access to my computer right now - but as I recall I did set some of the inputs to "none" after I recorded the audio tracks

oops - sorry I read your post wrong Daniel - you say to check the routing - not the inputs.  routing is all to Master

What about your track interleaves??? You never answered that question and this is probably what is causing it, if you went over your entire signal.

You can also just make a new track and copy that track to the new track as a new track should have the interleaves set to stereo, unless you have set it up another way

Interleaves are fine.  I found out what should have been obvious to me since the meters were correct and the mixed down audio was correct - the soundcard software somehow got se3t to mono.  Don't understand how as I NEVER open this software.  And since I "NEVER" open this software it took me almost an hour of fiddling with it to get it to work properly (even lost sound altogether a couple of times)

Anyway - all fixed now.  Thanks for the responses everyone
