I'm not sure I understand what you're difficulty is.
If you're using the REAC driver to capture live audio being fed from a digital snake and recording it into Sonar I can't see what the difficulty would be in doing over dubs.
There's very little info on the REAC driver in the Cakewalk Knowledge Base FAQ.
http://www.cakewalk.com/S...em-Compatibility-ChartIt's actually a ROLAND product to go along with their digital snakes and the V series recording/mixing consoles. I'm not sure it even works with current SONAR versions. Earliest version were Sonar Sonar 7, 8 & 8.5 but hasn't been updated since 2010.
The Roland site says it's compatible with Sonar x1 X2 and I would assume X3.
Have you tried getting more info from Roland?
