Freeware Firebird 2.1 public beta released!


 
Version 2.1 of our freeware Firebird synth is now in public beta.
 
Download it from here: http://www.tone2.com/Tone2_Firebird.zip
 
New in v2.1
 
- Contains 70 additional sounds by Xenos. To load them click on 'setup' and load the factory bank 'condemned'.
- Contains a fix for the iLok/Pace driver which could crash the plugin.
- Updated installer.
- Several minor enhancements.
 
FireBird 2 - now available for free!
 
Previously a $79 product Firebird now continues as freeware, so please feel free to share the plugin with all your friends! We hope you'll enjoy working with Firebird.

    I got this about a few months ago and I have to say it's really a very good synth with very useful sounds.....and best of all.....for free!!
     
    Does this 2.1 update install over the prior version?

    No....it supports 64bit and Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, Processor with more than 400 Mhz.

    No....it supports 64bit and Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, Processor with more than 400 Mhz.




     
    Are you sure about that?  I'm pretty sure it has been and always will be a 32-bit plugin.  It "works with" 64-bit, but I don't believe it is actually 64-bit.  Imageline used to do the same sort of wordplay on their site.

    I'm actually not sure (I probably shouldn't have said "supports").......at the bottom of that link I posted, it states that it "Works with 32 & 64-bit". I've only had this installed on my 64 bit machine and never had any problems. Have you have nay issues using it?
    Some of the users at KVR have contacted Bastian (from Tone2) to get some more clarification on this update.
