Now Time snap in X3

Now Time snap in X3

When my time ruler is set to M:B:T, I can left click to establish the now time marker.
 
If the ruler is set to H:M:S, the marker keeps snapping to the previous stop position. Is
that normal? Is there a way to keep the marker from snapping?
