AD....those who have upgraded....???
So...I did the upgrade to AD2 last night. Paypal payment went through and was charged. But...my XLN account is not showing that I have upgraded. It just shows my regular AD. Am I missing something here? I have not received any emails or anything from XLN having a new serial number or anything.... I know their site is "down for maintenance....but my gosh...if you're gonna offer a new upgrade....DONT shut your site down.... :)

I had a problem when I tried to register the version that came with X3. Their store/registration thing doesn't work with Firefox and I had to switch to the latest IE AND disable some specific IE security settings during registration. I have the details typed up somewhere if you need but they may just be swamped with orders or having website issues. Cheers.

Kinda what I'm thinking too Beep....their website is probably swamped. I have their installer installed...and just ran it a little bit ago. It states that everything I have it up to date. But the new AD2 that I just purchased last night is not even showing up in my account. I don't know if I'm supposed to receive a new serial number or what....haven't received anything as of yet. Although it does show under my "purchases" in my account that I have bought and paid for the new upgrade to AD2. Guess I'll just give it some time and see if anything shows up.

I upgraded soon after the offer was available and so far so good. You should get a confirmation email - mine stated I would not receive any serial numbers and I didn't have to register it like I did with AD v1. "Please note that you will not receive a license number with your order. Your purchased products are already registered to your account and available for download"

I have AD from Sonar X3 as well. Upgraded yesterday with no problem (the added adpak + coupon upgrade option). No problem whatsoever. Had everything installed within 30 minutes or so. I purchased when I was logged in, and when running their Online installer after it had AD2 and my ADpaks ready for install. The additional adpaks I had purchased and the original AD content converted to three adpaks.

Thanks guys. I am assuming that they're just too overloaded or something. Logging into my account, or running the installer just shows all of my previous items....nothing pertaining to AD2. And I've not received any kind of conformation email...so I guess I just need to wait it out. Thanks again :) .

Yes, I've just upgraded and got exactly what I've paid for...except I have been sent my 25% discount for other purchases. I have also posted a conflict I've experienced initially using it am seeking support for it. Mainly, using it seems to drop my keyboard shortcuts out.

Yes, I upgraded and all went quickly and smoothly. Sorry to hear you're having problems. I was frustrated at not being able to see how to use my AD1 kit presets but I put a query on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/xlnaudio.musicand received a quick response (drag and drop the preset files onto the AD2 GUI the save them). Perhaps try the Facebook route as their support facility seems a bit overloaded at the moment.

Ted, it should have all been "Automatic" once you paid... Open the online installer and click on Register Product....it may appear in the upper right hand side of the "Register Page". That is where the demo appeared a week ago... Make sure you download the latest installer...it should self-upate unless you have that turned off...

Still nothing as of yet. When I ran the installer yesterday....it updated everything including the installer itself (or it went through the motions). I will manually download the installer from their website and see if that will make a difference. Just so frustrating to buy something and then get nothing when it's all supposed to be automated. Thanks again for the replies.

Well I tried to download the installer from their website. It states that the installer is already installed. So again I ran the installer...it goes through the auto updating as normal. Says everything is up to date including the installer. But NONE of my products are showing up for AD2....just my regular AD stuff I have purchased in the past. Even when I log on to my account on the XLN website...all it shows in my account is the original AD stuff I have bought in the past....NONE of the AD2 stuff. I downloaded the "Fairfax" DEMO yesterday just to see if it would "jumpstart" my updates. It went though the whole AD2 download and installation. I can open up AD2 within Sonar....but still ONLY have the DEMO of Fairfax...which only includes the kick, snare, hihat, and crash....very bare bones. If they don't have it fixed by tomorrow...I'm just gonna contact PayPal and have them dispute the charge and I will stick with my ToonTrack Superior Drummer 2.0 Edited to add: I contacted XLN yesterday via their customer support on their website. Still have not received ANYTHING from them.

I think it may have gone to those who paid for an upgrade. I purchased AD1 with X3 in April, which was in the time window for a free upgrade to AD2. When I upgraded to AD2 I didn't get the BD/SN/HH of the Fairfax either.

Sounds like a good plan. I have three sources for drums. I don't use AD1, prefer SD2, but my third choice is the best. My son plays synth, trumpet, sax, clarinet, and is excellent on drums. We do a lot of collaboration. Walt

For $79 you get AD2 and all of your adpaks and midi upgraded. For $99 you get the same, plus the adpak of your choice (I chose the Fairfax) and a 25% off coupon to be e-mailed during a Summer sale. You actually get quite a bit of free midi with this upgrade as well. If you can swing it...Get AD2 and EZD2. Best of both worlds.

Thanks for the info. That's good to know but I don't have a lot of ADpaks from XLN. I've only had ADD since the Sonar X3 upgrade. I wish I could get both but it has to be one or the other for now. It's not in the budget for both. How do you like the Fairfax Kit? If I do go with ADD2 I was thinking about getting "Vintage Drums" ADpak. Gotta check out the videos I guess... Man... I hate being on the fence. Thought I had it all worked out and was ready to upgrade over the weekend.

You can go to XLN website and preview all the ADPaks. Just click on the Pak that you'd like to hear and there are 3 MP3 files you can listen to. I too ended up getting the Fairfax kit. It was a toss up between that and the Funk Pak. The Funk Pak has some really nice sounding drums, but so does the Fairfax.... :) The kits that come with AD2 also sound really good. I had already bought the Jazz collection (sticks and brushes) for AD1 a while back...and I'm sure the new kits for AD2 will probably be even better. I also have several of the kits (including the Jazz kit) for Superior Drummer 2.0. And have to admit that I have preferred the sounds of SD2...but I haven't had a chance to load up the new kits for AD2 yet. Will do that tomorrow when I get to the studio.

Thanks. Was just listening to some of the ADpaks. The Vintage Dry Drums sound really good as does Fairfax drums. I have to say though I'm with you in that I really like the sound of SD2. I only have the Avatar kit right now but it's sweet. My other EZX kits work in SD2 so that's cool plus I have a ton of midi drum files from Groovemonkee and others that sound good as well. I'm interested in how the AD2 kits sound in comparison to SD2 so after you've tried them out let me know what you think. Would really appreciate it. I'm going to hold off right now as far as upgrading. I watched another EZD2 video I didn't see and it's very impressive. Decisions...
