[Solved] VST plugins coming up on buses only

Just skipped from X1 to X3. I cannot access any VST plugins on any channels, only on buses. Dose anyone know of a setting that I need to change? Thanks.

you probably need to make an appropriate selection from the the drop down menu next to the time display just below Clips in track view. might say 'custom' right now, change to all.

Have you got “FX” ticked for the “Audio Strip” in the “Track Control Manager”

I have empirical evidence this is true... (Bender told me!)

Before we get to the Track Control manager, did you reset and rescan your VSTs when you upgraded to X3?

Yes. I can access them on buses just not channel strips.

In the illustration below from http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Views.02.html below the area in the red box in the Track view, the drop down labelled "Mix" controls what is visible in the track and bus strips. Set it to "All".

Is this a problem with VST3 effects or VST plug-ins in general?
