Is there a wireless USB or Bluetooth controller for Sonar?

I need some way of atleast starting 7 stopping Sonars record & play functions from behind my drum kit. I use to use the tranzport but I can't seem to get it installed with windows 8.1.

A wireless keyboard and mouse and a 32" monitor. You can be a long way away. If it seems glitchy then use a USB extension cable and put the little receiver on the end.

There are several midi controller apps for the ipad and android devices. You need to have Wifi though.

are there not any wireless usb converters, and adaptor to make any usb device wireless. Seems like an obvious thing to be made really.

Hard to search for, because wireless USB keeps taking you to wireless internet, rather than wireless usb.

To add a bit further detail to the above ...

Keyboard Shortcuts via a Wireless Keyboard. Logitech have good ones (e.g K400R). Range of about 10m/30ft. Solution above for a bit longer range. You can also get mini media center focused keyboards in various formats.
[PS] - I totally recommend an onboard trackpad (trackball, air mouse).

Tablet over a home wifi network will also get your screen local. e.g., on Android there's Splashtop 2 (free) to cast/control your whole desktop.

be advised that wireless keyboards are not very secure. As long as no one near by would care to know what you're typing, you're good, but if there's a chance that someone you don't trust could point a cantenna at your window and you wouldn't want that...

it's really easy to decrypt those keyboard wireless traffic packets.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Not sure if these are still available but I like my Frontier Transport. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for. You could always try to find a used one if not.

My bad.  I read that and replied on my phone on the way home from work and didn't see the second sentence (obviously?).
Sorry about that.  I think I'll wait to get home to see a post on my computer screen before replying in the future.

Yes, but they usually come in the form of hubs. Just look up Wireless USB Hub on any computer retail site, like Amazon or Newegg.

The Frontier Tranzport is still working with Windows 8.1 (64-Bit).
After Installation there is a Folder with al all the files (*.cat, inf, sys ...)
Then RIGHT-click the TranzPortx64.inf -> Install.
Now it works.

They can record me pressing the space bar, rewind key and the R key as much as they like, I reckon they'll get bored long before I do ;)
