OK you young folk with a good memory. What version of Sonar PE did the DR 008 come with?

I used DR008 a whole bunch but my old DAW took a dive into oblivion and now I am loading on whatever Sonar Versions I need to get the plug ins I got used to from XL to whatever All I need is the DR008.

Anybody remember that far back?

Introduced in version 2, dropped in version 5

Thanks I have all of the versions up to 8.5.3 but I can not install XL2 it tries to install some kind of Microsoft plug and fails with XPSP3. I just want that DR008 plug in, I will install from 3 PE or 4 PE then. I also want the Timeworks compressor and EQ I think that came with XL2 as well.

This would be like me trying to load up Dr T KCS sequencer.. are you really sure it
is worth the bother,, I mean we do have much better software these days. It would seem to be run on Win 98.

It is no big deal to load on Sonar 3, thanks for your suggestion but I am a retired person and I don't want to have to pay for a bigger better item when the ones I had on the old DAW did as good a job as I needed. I did let Sonar 8.5.1 load on Session Drummer 3 and all the samples in Dimension Pro (and it took forever it felt like) So I will try and get the old DR008 on from the Sonar 3 PE disk.

I also have the original version of BFD I might load that up but I never used it much, just on one song one time. Better to just load on what I do use.

Doesn't the S3 install give you the option of just installing one plugin? If not, check the disks and see if the DLL is there, not in a compressed file. If you can get the DLL off the disk you can then install it manually.

Could not find the DR008 on any of my Sonar Disks, (for some reason) Anyways, I am using Session Drummer 3 with the Session Drummer 2 drum map. Anyone know where to get drum maps for SD 3? I used to use Groove Monkees all rock drum map for Drum Kits From Hell in DR 008 as my go to drum sample player. Simple and easy to use, I think Session Drummer will also be as easy. It sounds different, and I have not used it in a project yet, but we shall see.

Thanks for all of your advice musical producers, I appreciate it.
