Float just the transport module??

Seems you either dock or undock the entire control bar.  Used to be you could just have the transport floatable.  I guess the solution is having that the only module showing...then undock?

You can not float a module. You can float the CB though

I think you'd still have the entire CB floating though... just with some empty space on it.

I haven't opened up a pre "X series" version in awhile, but you could float just the transport module, which was handy for screen space.  Seems you could undock specific modules, but I don't remember for sure.

Yes you could. The X series is different.

I have often wondered why the transport module can not be floated separately from the contro module. It seems to me to be an obvious feature. It would be so nice to position it any place on the screen.

Funny, when it first appeared in X1 I thought the same thing. Now I look at other DAWs that still have that and think how quaint. It is for me a non issue now. I like it where it is and can see it all the time if I need to. I also use a control surface and I really don't need to see or use it at all.

"C" will hide or unhide the control bar.
