Is there an autosaving feature in Sonar X2?
Hey, I was just wondering if there's an autosaving feature in X2? It's happened a few times that the program freezes and I have to close it down hence losing my work done.

Yup. Edit > Preferences > File - Advanced I wouldn't trust it though. I just do a lot of manual Save/Save As.

Both autosave and versioning are set in Preferences > File > Advanced. To access the advanced settings, make sure the Advanced radio button is selected at the bottom of the Preferences dialog.

Yes there is. It's in Preferences. Not at my.pc right now, so I can't tell you exactly where it is.
You can set it to save every few minutes, or every so many changes. It saves to a file called "Auto Save Copy - project name" so you have the real project file and the auto saved one.
Great feature. Use it all the time. Never had a problem with it.

And you may want to do some troubleshooting so you aren't having so many crashes. Lots of dudes here can help.

The first being apply the X2a update if it has not already been done.

Or upgrade to X3. Pretty much all my woes went away as soon as I installed it.

X3 is a good upgrade but without knowing more about the stability issue, upgrading may not be the solution. I would not recommend throwing money at the problem just yet.

Yeah, i'll do that next time it happens. It doesn't happen that often but when it does it's been painful enough.

Definitely true but I was ready to do a catastrophic wipe and reinstall because of the issues I was having. They all disappeared with X3. I have some procedural issues but I think they are learning curve based and not outright program quirks. One of which I'm experiencing right now... blern.

I would not depend on autosave. Just keybind the letter 'S' or another letter to save and press it after every edit or when ever you want to save. As with everyone else, Fix your crashing issue. Sonar should not be hanging and crashing. It is most likely a driver issue and/or a hardware issue. Its something that is connected into your PC CJ

+1 I rely on a combination of AutoSave and habitual Ctrl+S use.
