New to X3 Producer, need some assistance.

I upgraded from Sonar 7 Producer, so everything looks different, and without the search feature in HELP, I'm just downright confused. And an "old Dog".

I wan't to set up my project, then save that setup as my, "go to" template, I figured it was simply a Save As, but it doesn't appear in the default folder.
Also, I have not found a button to toggle between Track, and Console views, I'm sure it's there somewhere, but I'm not finding it.
I miss the old help file.
I appreciate any assistance.

There are a few ways to search help. When using the web based help the search function is at the top of the page. To use the old style windows style help, either disconnect from the internet or select "Always Use Offline Help" in Preferences > File > Advanced. Advanced settings are visible by selecting the Advanced radio button at the bottom of the Preferences dialog. Also the help is available as a pdf download called the X3 Reference Guide here http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013322/SONAR-X3-Reference-User-and-Quick-Start-Guides

The Normal.cwt is the default template for new projects. When saving templates make sure "Save As Type" is template and "Go To Folder" is set to "Template Files (CWT, TPL)".

Views are not toggled as before. Either use screen sets or if the Console view is docked, keyboard shortcuts "D" and SHIFT+D may be useful. The Cake TV video on the Skylight interface may be helpful.

It is worth the effort to go through the Tutorials at the start of the manual/reference guide step by step to completion. If you are already experienced with Sonar and DAWs in general it should only take an hour or so, if that, and you will be well acquainted with all the general concepts.

A shortcut to View Console is ALT+2

You can show/hide the Inspector Pane by hitting 'I'

And the Browser by hitting 'B'

    Hope that helps.

I just keep the console dock. Then D shows my console (if the dock is currently on the Console tab which it usually is). If I were using two screens and/or didn't use the multi dock for the Console I'd probably make a custom binding to pop it up with a single keystroke.
