Natural relic'ing project...

7 months later. Seems the spot under the pick ups is pretty much stable, but now it's the sides that are wearing off, especially the upper side where my forearm rests...

I think it'll look beautiful, regardless. :)

    Thanks, Kenny.

Considering that I've been thinking about switching pick ups, I'm wondering how a couple of pair of chrome 57 would look on it. At the same time, I do like the bare-bone, no frills look.

Rain , switching guitar pick ups and rewiring a guitar is not that hard to do

I do all my own work over here and I have rewired just about all of my guitars

in the case of your guitar ,
I would suggest that you go out and get everything you will need before you even do anything ...
there is no point in you trying to mix and match parts considering that your guitar has a circuit board ...
the short list , soldering iron , solder w flux… screw drivers , wire cutters …also the new wire that you will use
then you can add, the chosen pick ups , a new switch, 4 500 K potentiometers , some capacitors and a new jack ...

once you have all this  , you can take everything off your guitar and put it away for safe keeping

    Thanks a bunch, Kenny.

I'm really not sure I'd trust myself to replace the entire guts of the guitar and give it a traditional wiring. Seriously, I'm awful with tools.

Yeah Rain, don't feel bad , there is more stuff I don't know how to do than the stuff I do know how to do
