Seriuous Key Bindings bug

Why it is not possible to assign SPACE for global Bindings? When I load for example Nuendo bindings, it is there. I need it for some exernal plugins like Vienna Ensemble to start playback in Sonar when the Vienna Ensemble window is active. With Nuendo key bindings it works, but not with default Sonar bindings. Thank you
