Pet Shop Boys Cover

I did a different take on PSB's "Violence".  Made it sort of a dark rock joint.  Had some fun with it.  Some mixing issues still, but nearly happy with it.  Opinions welcome.

Do not know the Song so it is hard for me to make any real value judgement to its difference.

For me the mix felt a little lifeless what is it that your not happy with?

I like what you are trying to do. Might I suggest doing the song in a higher key so you don't have to sing so low? Your approach has a very Concrete Blonde/Gary Numan feel to it, which is fine, but your vocal needs more energy, IMO.

I don't know the song either, but I think the overall mix itself sounded pretty good.   I agree with the above though that the vocals could use a little more conviction coming across.   And perhaps a bit more variation in the drums?
