Ouch!!! No more VSTi/VSTs for a while.

Took the Odyssey in for (what I thought was) a simple break job ($300).

Add $700 for struts and rear shocks. Oh well, I got 130K miles out of the first ones.

<edit> typo 130K not 230K

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

You are lucky Mr. bapu,
The dealer in my one horse town quotes about $1300 for the same jobs on the same vehicle.

I ended up doing it myself.

So you do have enough left over for the hard drive that comes with K9U?

BTW, my working on cars days are long since over when it took me all day and night to replace a water pump on my son's Club Van in 1998.

Well I should back pedal and say I did download and install the free Eventide channel strip.

That makes my 378.9767854564th channel strip VST that I own.

I hate doing it, but the whole job only took about 2-1/2 hours... it probably went that fast because I hate doing it... :-) and I have a air wrench that can make short work of the slow stuff.

The Eventide reminded me of dessert. I looked at it and it made me feel fat. Then I thought about all that sonic goodness and reflected on the idea that I had probably just enjoyed the best part of it without even downloading it.

Thar's yer trouble, bapu - you signed up for the break job, shoulda asked for the second item on the menu instead: a brake job. They just gave you what you asked for, and now yer broke.
