Weird thing with Sonitus FX

I've got a really strange thing happening with the Sonitus FX.  I'm not sure when this started happening since I recently (within the past couple of months) did a clean install of everything because of a new system drive replacement....and I've been working on some project that already had the FX inserted.

But when I add the Sonitus Reverb or Delay VST FX to the FX bin (at the default settings)...it immediately starts building in volume a squeal, like a feedback loop...making me grab for the volume knob or bypass button.  The output on the meters peg out at 99.9 .  Any project that already has these Sonitus VST FX works fine...it's only when I add a new instance of an FX....in any project.

I can add the Sonitus DX Delay or Reverb FX and I have no problems.

Another thing I noticed is I can add the Sonitus Gate, EQ, Phase, Compressor, Surround Comp, WahWah,.....and the name in the FX bin is Sony Vibrato (I have Sony Vegas Pro 12).  I can double click on the name and it will bring up the right Sonitux FX....but the name showing in the FX bin is wrong.

I never experienced these problems before...anyone else have anything like this happen?  All my other FX seem to work fine.  It's just the Sonitus

The Sonitus plug-ins bundled with SONAR are DX effects. The VST reset and scan will have no effect. The renaming of the effects may be an indication of the problem. Was the Vegas Pro 12 recently installed?

An advanced install may not change anything if the Sonitus entries were not moved out of the "Shared Plugins" directory first.

Funny thing is....they have always worked before.  When I did the new install of the of the drive....I installed only the software that I previously was using.

When I go to insert a plugin....the sonitus FX are located under the VST2 AND DX categories.  I had always inserted them from the VST2 dropdown before.

Not sure why they are causing problems now....guess I just need to choose them from the DX section.

    Thanks scook.

It's only the reverb and delay plugs that are acting up.  All the rest of the Sonitus plugs work OK even when inserted from the VST2 section.

The VST2 versions are 32bit sold separately from the Cakewalk store. The VST versions were never bundled with SONAR so I have no experience with them. Are you using the "Default All Plug-ins" layout or a custom plug-in layout. What does the plug-in header look like? Does it have the VST2 drop down? Are you running 64bit SONAR?

I've been out of pocket and out of the studio...sorry about getting back so late.

As far as I know I'm using the "Default All Plug-ins" as I have never created any plugin layouts.  When I right click in the FX bin to add an effect...I have VST2, VST3, and DX drop down boxes....and I do have the 64bit Sonar X3e, didn't even install the 32bit version.

Just curious...are the DX versions 64bit?

Yes, the bundled Sonitus plug-ins are 32 and 64bit DX plug-ins. The 64bit versions are installed with 64bit SONAR.
