Sonar X3 Need Studio in Montreal that can do Final Master
Hi,
I've been trying to find a studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada that uses Cakewalk Sonar X3. We are finalizing our songs, and we are more of a DAW-oriented-not-playing-at-bars (maybe later) type band; just wanting to create tunes as a duo and put them out to the Internet at this point.
It takes an immense amount of time to try to mix something, let alone get the right mastering levels for a professional end result. We decided that it would be easier to find a production studio to take our files, and do the mastering without us having to screw around with that aspect of the recording process. We are not capable engineers. We can get a mix that we like, but when it comes to making all of our tunes have a uniform sound (across heavy rock, alternative-alt-rock-country, slow quieter tunes, hard distortion, etc) for the end result, say, mp3, for iTunes, or Youtube, etc, etc... we simply don't a) have the experience to do something that complex, and b) the amt of time would be massive to get to that level. We want to focus on the creativity aspect, and building songs, and hand off all of the project files, waves to someone who has Sonar X3, with many VST capabilities (to possibly include our keys, Guitar Rig 5, etc)... Within reason, if we have to bounce a few tracks because they don't have the particular VSTs, then that is tolerable (within reason because it may be a time-consuming pain), but if they don't have many of the main VSTs that one would use in Sonar (Guitar Rig being a big one) then that would be insufficient. but, potentially they know of a way to alleviate the problem that we are not aware of.
IMPORTANT: We are not looking for a studio that doesn't have Cakewalk Sonar X3 in-house, because that would conflict entirely with what we have, and would require us to bounce every track of every song to be able to allow them to master. Again, that would be super time-consuming, something we're trying to avoid.
Does anyone know a studio in Montreal that I could contact?
Thanks,
Dave
