Just popping in before the flood of suggestions of, to me, rather slow, cumbersome and erratic file sharing services. You should first look at Google's G-Drive. All you require is a gmail address and a G-Drive file sharing thingie is included under the tools. It's easy and fast and although google is rather creepy and monolithic (IMO) at least it is a known entity and will always work/be around for a long time. Also it's always useful to have another email account for whatever and a g-mail/google account has a lot of useful things going on these days. So yeah... look at that first, especially if you already have a gmail account. It'll probably be enough for sending audio. Cheers.

BTW most email services allow for file attachments anyway. It is just a matter of size limits. They are usually too low for sending whole projects but there are ways to circumvent this. Like compressing (zipping) the files and sending them out in sections. Your waves should have time stamps on them so even if you only send them a couple at a time with the correct import options on the receiving end they should load into whatever DAW the engineer is using. That is a pain for all involved though. If that or g-drive isn't suitable then I'd say dropbox. But be aware even though the site REALLY tries you to get them to install their uploader software it is not necessary. Don't install it. You can just log in and use their online uploader instead. Their local app may seem convenient but I find it is intrusive and slows down the computer. With the wrong/default settings it will always be probing around for updated versions to "backup" your files. That said... set up correctly it is cool in a way BECAUSE of that. It's like having an external drive except the data gets stored online and it creates a folder on your desktop where you can just drag things to and it will upload to your account automagically. You also have Gobbler that is integrated with Sonar X3 which kind of does the same thing but directly from Sonar. I have not set up or used it yet though so you would have to ask someone else about it. Cheers.

aaaaand to me the "best" way, as an old school ludditte, is to priority post a dvd or flash drive with the files on it. I researched flash drives specifically for this before figuring out cheaper online solutions and Corsair makes steel cased thumb drives of varying sizes (I was looking at the 32GB but IIRC they sold 64GB ones as well). They are basically bullet proof thumb drives you could drive a car over and the guts would still be protected. So basically angry postmanproof. That's a little excessive though. lol

http://www.wetransfer.com The main advantage is NO SOFTWARE NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED WHATSOEVER at either end. Nor do you need to register with the site. The limit is 2Gb PER TRANSFER. So in effect no limit in blocks of 2Gb, and it automatically deletes after a period of time. Sorry I just felt like typing in caps for some reason... Ta.

You actually don't need to install software to use dropbox either. They just try really hard to make you but if you deny it all then just log in to your account they have an online uploader like photobucket or other similar sites. It has been a while since I logged in though so perhaps they changed it.

Indeed, that's what I don't like about dropbox, also if you install the software by default (well last time I did it), it will upload all your files in "My Documents" unless you select a custom install and deselect... That lost my consumer confidence immediately.

I'm a fan of WeTransfer as well. By far the easiest and quickest way if you just need to send files (as opposed to a full cloud-based solution).
