Can I install SONAR X1 Studio when SONAR X3 Producer is already installed on my computer?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a vexing problem with the SONAR X3 Producer that I just installed on my new computer, and I want to see how I solved it in SONAR X1 Studio. Can I install SONAR X1 now without fear of messing up my SONAR X3?

Thanks,
John

It should be OK. The only issue with installing the X series out of sequence that I know of involves the Prochannel which X1 Studio does not have.

What's the problem you are having?
Maybe someone here has dealt with the same issue.
    Have you updated to X3e?

I have all versions since 8.5.1 on my hard drive. It makes it easier sometimes to open those old projects that come back for re-mixes or whatever. The only problem with installing is if there are any shared plugins between the newest and oldest installation it will overwrite the new plugins with the older version. Could be buggy! If you need to install X1 just make sure you do a custom installation and uncheck any newer versions you have of the old plugins. Be advised! The plugins have changed pretty dramatically since X1. Some have been upgraded and some have been discontinued. Be Careful!
