PONO....... Is it Bollocks, or is it "The Dog's"?

The hardcore guys like Mr Lavry don't seem to be into it. 
 
But alot of Warner Bros Mega Stars are fully convinced.
 
Do you guys think they played the same file at different bitrates in the car or were the PONO versions and CD version different mixes?

    Would love to hear some mastering engineers takes on this. Also will try and find out how they go about producing new 192 masters. Or do they?

    EDIT: Went and had some Googling. Initial reaction...pretty dubious. YMMV.
