X3 Producer and Addictive Drums - no drum "flam"

Not sure whether tihs is the right place for this question or not, given that it's not directly X3 related, so apologies if it isn't. I've just upgrade to X3 Pro and am starting to get to grips with Addictive Drums 2 (which I have to say, is just a brilliant sounding drum machine - much much better than anything I've used before). I've previously used Session Drummer to create tracks (preferring to create my own, using the step sequencer, instead of the pre-defined loops), so I'm familiar with the overall concept, just not using AD2 itself.

So on to the problem. In SD, using step sequencer if you double-clicked on a note, it split the beat, and you ended up with a drum "flam", with two distinct beats being heard - doing the same thing with AD2, doesn't produce that audible flam, it just sounds like a single beat - is this a known issue, or am I just doing things wrongly? I know when you "expand" (for want of a better description) a single row in the sequencer, there's a dial that's labelled "Flam", but it doesn't appear to make any difference, regardless of which way it's turned.

Any ideas ?

Thanks ... Kimbo
