[Solved] Extract MIDI from audio - not working

After I follow the directions in the AudioSnap palette, I copy as MIDI, but it won't paste. Sonar is behaving as if the clip has not been copied.
 
Any thoughts?

    I prefer to drag audio clips to MIDI tracks to extract MIDI but I guess there is some audiosnap pre-processing involved in this clip before the extraction.

    Okay - I figured it out. The problem was that it was a GROOVE clip - you need to convert it to a regular audio clip first.
