Doing re-takes?

This could be embarrasing....

Yesterday I tried out OhmStudio. Yeah I know Im a bad person. But while recording some guitar I found that pressing enter while recording automatically restarts the recording from start. In Sonar I always start recording with 'r' and then press 'spacebar' to stop and then ctrl+z to undo the take and then finally 'r' again to restart the take.

Is there a way to do it in the style of Ohmstudio in Sonar? And yes, I do have the manual but didnt find it.

    If I am reading this correctly, you want to create a keyboard shortcut that combines, SPACEBAR, CTRL+Z and R. While SONAR does not provide this feature, AutoHotkey does. For example,
    #r:: Send {Space}^zr
    Would bind the keystrokes to Windows-R

    I just started playing with it a few weeks ago. My needs are pretty modest.  It has a has a lot of potential to extend SONAR and any other app. Reminds me of automation scripts I wrote for years using Expect except with a Windows slant.

    this is a great little program.
    I used this in X1 producer to bind a zoom key to + and -
    this was before x2 introduced the zoom feature/ quick zoom.
    it worked great.
