I'm now understanding the hype of Waves SSL on drums!

I volunteered to record my son's 7 piece band (2 guitars, horn player, female vocalist, keyboard player, 2 guitar players, bass and drums) and recorded 11 songs in my studio. Turns out, I was the one who really gained a lot, as this is given me a ton of additional mixing experience and taken me out of my comfort zone.

I have been using the Waves SSL on all things drums and just stunned at the sound they give me. This is particularly gratifying since they're my studio drums played by my son. I just can't believe how good the SSL channels make them sound! I still prefer the IK SSL buss comp over the waves, but the channel strips are worth the price of admission.

If you struggle getting a good kit sound and haven't checked out the Waves SSL, I highly encourage you to try the demo. Great stuff!
