Super Saver - A supermarket song!

Hi All,

Good to be back on here. Hope you are all well.

Came up with a track with two fellow mates when in New Zealand and it was written around the supermarket "new world" whom have their "super saver" discounts on everyday. It was a lot of fun.

Attached is the track. Can you take a listen and provide some feedback particularly on mix, impact and arrangement.

Thanks,

Cian

I like it.  Mix is great but there not enough low end (bass mids are heard but not the low end).  Kick is way too soft.
The mids and highs are really good.  I like the high energy and fun song.

I really like this song.  It is fun, energetic, and maybe just a wee bit of sarcastic?  It almost has a bit of orchestrated skiffle to it.  The vocals are great and I like the lead-up to the ending.
    Nice one!

I thought this sounded great. Lots of reverb during the bridge caught my attention and had doubts about that. Other than that, great.

    Cian,

Your vocals sound really good as always, very professional.    The song is pretty good, I actually think the verses are a little stronger than the chorus  (could be my aversion to supermarkets though:))   The bridge is really cool.   Sounds good.

That was fun.       Overall I really like the mix - clear and with nice separation.   But I do agree with Rimshot that the kick seems a bit light.    Minor point in the overall scheme of things.

    Thanks steve.

The kick on its own I reckon is fine (at the start)however within the mix it prob does get lost, ill have to look deeper into some better separation.

Im glad it was fun above all.

    Cheers,

Nice bit. Our super saver market, Market Basket, may go out of business. The workers went on strike because the board fired the CEO and he was a good one who looked out for his workers. Imagine that? Looking out for workers in the USA.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
