Automation Lanes sometimes not working on Z3TA+ 2.1

I am using Z3TA+ 2.1 on a few of my tracks and have added automation lanes on them that is controlling the first Cutoff Frequency Filter.  Sometimes when I play the track the knob does not follow the automation that I created.  I have to close down Sonar X3, and then replay the song for it to pick up again.  It seems like after doing a few edits on other tracks, again it doesn't pick up the automation.  Is anyone having this problem?  Am I doing something wrong?

    When the automation line is dotted, it does not make the automated parameter jump to it.
     
    Right click to make it solid. Then if you drop the now time, it will immediately adjust to it.
