The odd thing is that not all WalMarts were created equal. The one closer to here isn't that bad. Maybe because it's a nice neighbourhood. We don't see that many WalMartians.

But a couple of weeks ago we had to drop by to a different one because it was late night and our our usual one isn't 24h - it was darn creepy, and the people there... Man, it was like landing in a zombie apocalypse movie.

you're right, they're not all that way.

but you have to wonder how low the odds are that you would find one that ISN'T that way.

I live within 3 miles of 2 different Walmarts.

while I don't see this kind of thing EVERY time I go there, I see it often enough.  and one of the two walmarts within 3 miiles of me is worse than the other.  one of them I wouldn't go there at night without an armed escort.

You've gone places with one that has no arms before?  What kind of escort service are you using???!

It wasn't the first time we went there, actually, though it had been quite a while, but it was our first visit there at night. But regardless, there's a heck of a difference between the two places - even in terms of how the place looks.
Some sections of the store almost looked as if they'd been abandoned. Even day time, you're bound to see WalMartians there - at least a few.

The one where we go now really isn't that bad. WalMartians really are an exception.

Though I tend to think... a Walmart not open 24hrs is also an exception, as most of them are.

The one farthest-North is and it has heated sidewalks to boot. Something no store has ever done here before in the land of -40F.
It's an expense deemed frivolous and counter profitable. But then Walmart can afford it.
