Cool New Feature For Presonus - I Hope Cakewalk Does Something Like This!

Wow! Couldn't be easier... With the release of StudioOne 2.6.3... They have released Capture for the iPad. Basic 2 track is free and multitrack is $10...

So... You're out somewhere jamming and decide you want to record to your iPad... Then easily transfer the track(s) to your PC/Mac...

OK... Launch Capture and record your stuff... Then when back at your studio so that both devices are on the same network, simply open StudioOne and the iPad Capture app... Then click the transfer button and select your DAW.... Job done! Tracks are transferred via the network and loaded into S1!

Yeah, I can use this then transfer the tracks to Sonar where I prefer to work, but it would be so elegant to have this situation created for Sonar itself!

BTW...This works with StudioOne Free as well... As long as it's updated to 2.6.3!

Ya gotta love it!

Yup, that's REALLY cool.

Except for the iPad part.

We Android users get no freakin' respect when it comes to stuff like this.

Really wish Sonar offered something similar. This, along with presonus's integration with Notion has me looking at a product that I would normally never consider.
Too bad that it's only on Ipad, but just like a Mac versus PC, It's easier to integrate a program in to an Apple product as opposed to Android's many variables.

Google recently updated some Android developer tools and the audio tool was one of them.  one of the stated goals is for developers to be able to use one, unified audio tool that will create apps across all versions of Android.  Another goal is to create a unified approach to midi.  The baseline general midi sound set was upgraded.  Many, many more audio handling routines were consolidated.  The end result shoul make it much easier for audio companies to develop cross platform audio products for Android.  Say what you will but it is much easier for a third party to create something that works when they only have one set of hardware and software interface specifications to work with.  That's always been a huge difference between Apple products and other products.
