delay when recording

Im using Sonar 8 Producer with an Edirol UFX interface. all of a sudden when I push record to do vocals, there is a bad delay. Wasnt there before. doesnt do it when doing a signal check, just when you start recording? What am I doing wrong?

    Using ASIO drivers? Needed to account for latency.

    You know your the third person this week who has said that,, I guess I should retire.  It doesn't pay well anyhow.

    Didnt mean that against younlol. Have seen replys before from others that just makes people look stupid.
