question what recording capable vst do you guys use to record inside a track?

I am thinking that to get those weird sounds you get on synths when you switch presets you really need to record it when it happens live not render it later on and to do that there are some products that load inside a track or what do you guys think is it better if you rewire another DAW and can I do rewire were say 16  tracks or so of sonar are feeding into 16 tracks of another daw? Just wanting to explore the possibilities. Some of the modular daws may be a possibility.

    Why not send the output to a bus that feeds an audio interface output, then patch that back into a spare input? It's old school, but it works.

    lack of inputs right now prevent that method
