[Solved] Imported samples being placed hours along the timeline

Something weird started happening recently when I import a sample into a project. Whether I drag a file from the desktop or go to File>Import>Audio the imported clip is being placed crazily far along the timeline (for example 15 hours along!). I then have to manually grab the clip and slowly drag it right back to the start of the project. Is there any way to determine where an imported clip will be placed? I assumed it would be wherever the marker is currently on the timeline but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Doh, posted too quick for my own good! Under Prefs I unticked 'Always import Broadcast waves at their timestamp' and that seems to have fixed it. The files were recorded on a portable audio recorder and must have been timestamped via the hardware recorder without me realising.

    Yup.

I think a lot of folks have scratched their heads at some point, wondering where imported audio went.  :)
