Destroyer Z

For the last 4 months I've been battling ear ringing and vertigo and what my doctor suspects is meniere's disease. I think I blew my left ear out with my new ATH-M50s... Anyway feeling better the past few days, so had to do something to test my ears! I mean Beethoven was deaf and he could still make music right?

    Dayamm!!! That rocks!!!

Sorry to hear about your ear damage. The worst nightmare for every musician...(I don't think Beethoven wasn't to pleased when he lost his hearing.) I hope you heal soon.
I've got the ATH-M50s myself, but I found out there is that little knob on my interface that I can turn from 11 to 10 occasionally...just saying...
Well, I'm going to listen to some more of your your stuff now  ...great guitar work!!! love it!

This is pretty bad ass mate.

Lots of work gone in and really impressive polyphony going on between the guitar and bass etc.

    How were the drums?

I too have a serious problem of cranking up earphones too loud when there is no need. I find if you can be happy with the song played at very low volume it transcends well at louder volumes, from a mixing point of view.

Great guitar playing. Everything seemed centered to me. Needs some spacing out of the instruments (imo).

Drums seem a bit too far back in the mix to me.

Other than that, very nice job.

Protect those ears! Easier said than done I know playing guitar.

Very nice tunage. I think the bass is to heavy. The volume is ok but maybe roll off the low end a bit. As Bapu said, the drums are a bit back in the mix and the bass drum could come up even more.

Cool tune - great playing and feel throughout.    The drums to get lost a little with the guitar and bass being very out front, though I like that, so with just a little tweaking...

Jason, this is a terrific performance and tune!  I, too, would like to hear a bit more drums and bass gtr, but that's only because they are played so well.  All in all, this is very professional and ready for a wide audience.

    All the best,

Thanks guys for all the input! I did have a listen on another system and agree that the drums are a bit in the back and I think I pushed the bass in response to my ear problem... damn. None the less I'm glad I wasn't way off with this mix.

Great playing and I think the mix is pretty good. Agreed that drums could come up a tad, but it sounds pretty good otherwise.

Man you really know how to rock!!!...that  really stands out and makes this even better. I love a busy well played bass going on! All the playing is tops notch here! I did think that the cymbal in the right channel around the 2:00 mark and shortly after was a bit much. If it were me I would probably take some of those hits out....nothing major though. Killer song man!!
