[Solved] Sonar Track and console view

Not sure how to explain this.

Normally when I open Sonar I have the track view on one screen and the console on the other both with separate exit, resize and minimise buttons.

Now I have the same, but the Track view doesn't have buttons and I cannot open the Browser, the Track view extends slightly into the second screen.

All the screensets now seem to assume you want the Track view to extend across all two screens.

How can I get it back the way it was?

Thanks
M

keyboard shortcut "B" toggles the Browser.

Indeed. However, even that doesn't work at all unless I activate screenset 2, which then behaves as above and then 'B' does work.

Not all songs are like this though.

Does duplicating screenset 2 to 1 or importing a screenset from a working project fix the problem?

The import option is greyed out for me...all of the  screensets are spread over two screens, so none are appropriate to copy.

I'm pretty sure this project started out OK - I'm trying to make a template.

To import a screenset, open a good project along with one that is misbehaving. http://www.cakewalk.com/D...agement.8.html#1260131

OK sorted it. I had Full Screen enabled somehow so turned it off, got the Track view to fit the main screen and re-enabled floating for the Console view on the other screen.

Thanks for your help :-)

Just read your post and was about to tell you that's what it sounded like. You must have hit f11(I think that's the key that toggles full screen) by mistake.

OK thanks.

Actually, I might have guessed that for myself if Cakewalk had put F11 against Full screen in the menu...

Actually, I love the keyboard shortcuts. I bought a set of key stickers and it's changed my life!

I like shortcuts too. Those stickers would cost $25 to ship to the UK but I'm thinking about it. There is also a dedicated keyboard but that's about $90 and not guaranteed to be compatible with future versions.

Ouch, that's steep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can it be so much to ship, if they come in a tiny envelope? I just checked the USPS website and to mail a letter to the UK costs $6.00. Your total should be about $13.00 give or take.
