RIP Charlie Hayden

Charlie Hayden died three weeks ago today at the age of 76 - just now found out about it though.  Since he was primarily a jazz musician, he's probably not well known to many on this forum - but for my money, he was the best ever, a genuine poet of the string bass.  If anyone knows the album The Missouri Sky (with Pat Metheny), that was him on bass, and one of Metheny's best albums to boot IMO.  But his most inspired work, or at least my pick for that designation, would be the two duet albums he did with Keith Jarrett.

Rest in peace, Mr. Hayden.
