How did I over look this.

I got the SONAR X3 Advanced Workshop - Producer Instruments Video.  I just never bother to mess with some of the included VIs in Sonar, like the older ones.   I still think a product like Cyclone was ahead of it's time.  My only regret is that they ditched Beatscape in X3.  That seemed to be a unique plugin.  Unfortunately anything about using Beatscape seems to be on youtube by those using it.

Some of these instruments are great for sketch work. The video series was money well spent.

You can still install beatscape if you want. Just download the old version of Sonar (X1) then do a custom install.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

If "Loops and One Shots" from X2 or X3 Producer are already installed, installing Beatscape will add a duplicate library of loops.  The duplicate loops can be removed and the folder pointed to the loops installed in Cakewalk content by using mklink. For example, assuming a default installation on the C drive, after deleting "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Beatscape\Library\Beatscape Factory Content" (IIRC the default) then at the cmd prompt issue the command:

mklink /j "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Beatscape\Library\Beatscape Factory Content" "C:\Cakewalk Content\Audio Library\Loops"

It may be necessary to refresh the Beatscape browser with F5.

What Scook says is right. The Beatscape files are sorted into folders by original BPM for the various loops, which could be handy to you. IDK. The size is about 4GB, so that's what you save if you just use the ones in the Loops folder in the Audio Library rather than using them organized into folders in the Beatscape library.

For me, I don't bother saving the 4 GB. I just leave it all there.

I still have Beatscape installed. I rarely ever delete previous versions of Sonar since the app doesn't take a lot of space. I think I still have S7 on here.

Beatscape was and is unique. It's a 16 channel Rex host and even Reason doesn't even have that. Sad that they didn't fully support it with tutorials and better documentation.

I'm going to have to play with Cyclone. I've used Sonar going back to S2 and never really touched it. Once again it seems like it was ahead of its time.

Forgot about Dropzone. similar to Live's Simpler but a whole lot more.  Create a killer Supersaw wave, drop it in and no more fiddling with synths.
