Cable Management
Seeing cables behind my desk is one of my pet peeves and such an eyesore (even with cable ties)..... I have a small amount of studio space and would like to keep it neat & tidy behind my DAW desk.
What are some of the better cable management/cable hiders that you guys use??

So far, boxing it up & selling seems to be the best tow solutions  .........however, I just moved and AM trying to set up my DAW in my new home.

You can get plastic raceways that you secure to the walls, desk or floors. It's basically a U shaped channel with a top that snaps on. It's mostly used for surface mount electrical installations and computer network wiring. It can be cut with a hack saw or heavy linoleum knife. You screw down the sections or use double sided tape to secure it. Lay the wires in the channel and pop on the cover. It comes in various neutral colors. It gives you a very professional look and it's easy to open up for changes.

Thanks John, I think that's exactly what I'm looking for!! I couldn't remember the terms "plastic raceways" and was getting all kinds of results from Google.

I'd done quite a good job with keeping my desk tidy and cable free. I have these small adhesive lozenge-shaped discs which have a slot on the top that holds a cable - great for phone chargers as well.
And then I bought a Babyface with it's "breakout cable." Hello mess!

I closed the back of my desk with a piece of fabric. Problem solved. Mostly.  Though the angle prevents you from seeing it, and not all my gear was hooked up, you can guess that there was a lot of cable back there once everything was in place. After...   Now I need to deal with the mess of cables that's now running from the mixer... I'll need to get creative again.

+1 closed back desk - I built mine myself so there is a panel of the same wood across the back of the footwell that hides all the cables. It's fixed in such a way that I can take it out if I need to get behind it for any reason.
