"This whole generation needs to eat a steak"...
In the immortal words of Alice Cooper. Figuratively speaking I guess.
And to choke on it, if you ask me.

As if rock music hadn't become boring enough in the last 20 years, we're now facing the consequence of that wussification. A new generation of even more boring bands, beige people, who grew up listening to Pearl Jam and the likes, hipsters without a sense of humour and with no respect whatsoever for anyone or anything, picketing for even more political correctness.
Are KISS lyrics misogynistic? Absolutely! It's called rock and roll, not literature, psychology or philosophy. Parents bring you up. Schools teach you stuff. Rock and Roll
entertains you. Escapism.
And if you know anything about the average male KISS fan, you know that most of them are so happy when they finally find a girl and get laid that they tend to treat their woman like a queen and to behave as the exact opposite of a misogynist. KISS fans are like nerds. Nay, KISS fans ARE nerds.
It's all about having a good time, and living a fantasy. A concept which seems to be unfathomable to this generation of pseudo rock musicians recycling the same grunge crap...
No surprise so many youngsters turn to hip hop - rock is so absolutely boring and beige. And no surprise that most of the top touring bands out there made their name before the end of the 90s.
Not too long ago, Eddie Kramer shared this pic on FB, taken during the making of Ace Frehley's solo album.
Seeing that pic, and imagining all the substance abuse and irresponsible fun going on during those sessions, I figured that this is partly why we don't make music the way we used to.
I mean, look at that guy in shorts with the riffle. THAT's the spirit. Ah, the 70s...
